Jury of professionals

Public Vote

From 28/04 until 11/05, the public can co-decide who wins the award through an online vote.

THE JURY

An independent jury of food professionals nominate three finalists per category.

Steven Desair, VVSG

Steven works for The Association of Flemish Cities and Municipalities (VVSG) as local food strategy advisor.

Charlotte De Vroey, Delhaize

Charlotte De Vroey works at Delhaize and together with her colleagues, she makes products more healthy and sustainable and strives for less plastic, less carbon and less food waste.

Lisa Van Den Bossche, Robinetto

Lisa has worked in sales and supply chain functions for large food manufacturers. As a side project she investigated the options to valorise milk that was nearing its sell by date and use it as an ingredient for a new finished product. In her current position Lisa is doing research at ILVO on sustainable food systems and food waste reduction.

Hanne Heymans, FoodWIN

Hanne works on urban food waste strategies in Belgian municipalities. Together with local actors, she looks for creative solutions that match with the local context. When not supporting local governments, she gives workshops on fridge management and other tricks to avoid consumer food waste.

Olivier François, Too Good To Go

Olivier François is an experienced marketing professional with background in several industries and marketing disciplines.
As Head of Marketing for Too Good To Go in Belgium, fighting food waste is at the core of his daily responsibilities.
Too Good To Go, being a social impact company, is by nature purpose driven and on a mission for a waste free planet.

At 15h45: the final ceremony of the Food Waste Awards 2022 with Minister of Environment Zuhal Demir.

The final Award Ceremony is part of the Food Waste Fest,
an unforgettable day to celebrate solutions to food waste.
